The Engagement journey - Our Vision
Building an engagement cycle operational capability is a journey
for marketers, and the agencies and marketing service providers
with whom they work. The journey is one of physical integration –
of different departments within marketing, and customer data held
throughout the organization. It is also a journey of process
integration – ensuring the various, currently disparate,
applications are integrated to power the Customer Engagement
Cycle.

Engagement isn’t a giant leap, it’s a journey and Alterian helps
marketers start that journey today by providing a series of

Planning the journey with a next generation platform
To minimize risks, keep costs under control and build
incrementally on the journey to customer engagement, an integrated
platform is not just advisable – it is imperative to manage the
level of application and data integration required to move a
customer along the customer engagement life cycle.
The Alterian Integrated Marketing Platform is
flexible enough to enable the marketer to start with one focused
entry point into the platform, but future proofed by the ability of
the platform to grow as the marketer’s needs
grow.
Bringing direct marketing to the web – online engagement
As Alterian develops the Customer Engagement Cycle technologies,
through the next
year we will be releasing a number of products that extend our
offline marketing database,
analytics and execution capability fully into the online space
and, in doing so, make the
individual coming to the website addressable for the marketer in
terms of the customization
of the website for that individual.
Building an engaged community
Alterian is also launching a portal and multi-blog aggregation
and community site called ‘Engaging Times’, to help customers,
Partners and marketers in general understand the new world of
customer engagement, through interacting with their peers and also
experts on customer engagement. It will focus on topics such
as customer engagement definitions and strategies, Customer
Engagement Agencies, customer engagement technologies and the
engagement experience.
